In our last newsletter under the Annual Installation Banquet article there was a misprint of the winner of the "Outstanding Business Award" printed as Crown Disposal. The correct winner of the "Outstanding Business Award" is Waste Management.   Also under the Installation Banquet Tom Fry’s name was misspelled as Frye instead of Fry. Text Box: Friday, May 16th was an exciting day for Sun Valley residents. Exiting Councilmember Ruth Galanter proudly initiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sun Valley Stone House Cultural Center Project. The Stone House – a 1925 Craftsman style with rock walls, gabled roofs and a square tower was designated a cultural monument on December 19, 1987 by the LA Historical Cultural Society. Ruth Galanter breathed new life into the historical monument by suggesting it for the location of the proposed Cultural Center – a place where Sun Valley area youth can come for after school and summer projects and day camps. The project is scheduled to open in 2005. Text Box: Stone House Groundbreaking Ceremony Text Box: Burbank Airport Celebrates it’s 83rd Anniversary! On May 31st, the Burbank Airport opened it’s doors to the public to come in and celebrate it’s 83rd anniversary.
